REP. FUDGE TO HOLD NEWS CONFERENCE SUPPORTING EFFORTS TO OVERTURN OH VOTER SUPPRESSION LAW, HB 194

WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, OH – Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) will hold a news conference on Tuesday, September 27th in Cleveland to discuss immediate and future restrictions on voting rights caused by Ohio’s voter suppression law known as HB 194.  As the petition campaign to bring this measure to the ballot for a statewide vote draws to a close, the Congresswoman will be joined by civic leaders, clergy, volunteers, and impacted citizens to update the public on those efforts.

WHO:  Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge, Dr. Otis Moss Jr., Rabbi Robert Nosanchuk, Fair Elections Ohio Campaign Director Gregory Moore,  volunteers and guests  to be announced

WHEN:  Tuesday, September 27, 2011 1pm

WHERE: Goodrich Gannett Neighborhood Center, 1368 East 55th Street, Cleveland, OH 44103 (2nd Floor of the new building)

WHAT:  News Conference regarding Ohio HB 194

Note:  The news conference will not take place in the event the U.S. House of Representatives is called back into session Tuesday on short notice to vote on a Continuing Resolution to keep the federal government running.  We will attempt to provide as much notice as possible should that occur.
