Veterans

The men and women who have sacrificed defending our nation deserve the highest quality care when they return home. Meeting their needs is a priority of mine. From access to high quality health care, to education opportunities and other readjustment assistance, I am committed to working hard for the veterans in the Second District.

The VA hospitals in Topeka and Leavenworth provide valuable health services for our veterans. I will work to make certain these centers are able to continue caring for veterans in Eastern Kansas.

As a member of the House Military Veterans Caucus, I will work to make certain we never forget or take for granted the sacrifices our veterans and their families made to preserve the freedoms you and I enjoy. Those who have fought to protect our freedom deserve nothing less than our unwavering support.

As part of my work to honor our nations' veterans, I host an annual Veterans Resource Fair. If you would like to learn more about the 2015 Veterans Resource Fair please click here
