Paulsen Statement on Tax Reform Blueprint

Washington, D.C. – Congressman Erik Paulsen (MN-03), a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, issued the following statement regarding House Republicans’ Tax Reform Blueprint released on Friday:
 
“Our broken tax code has not kept pace with a modern economy. The Blueprint will make the tax code simpler, flatter, and fairer for hardworking taxpayers and families. This Tax Reform Blueprint will:
 
  • Promote savings and investment
  • End the practice of shifting jobs overseas
  • Make the tax code so simple it can fit on a postcard
  • Help Americans’ greatest asset – our small businesses
  • Modernize the IRS and make it a service-first agency for all Americans
 
The bottom line is this tax reform proposal will lead to bigger paychecks, more jobs, and economic opportunities for all Minnesotans.”
 
Paulsen, a champion of small business and advocate of free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation, serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, the bicameral Joint Economic Committee, and is co-chair of the Congressional Medical Technology Caucus.
