Paulsen, Eshoo Statement on Medical Device User Fee Agreement

Washington, D.C.– Co-chairs of the bipartisan House Medical Technology Caucus, Reps. Erik Paulsen (MN-03) and Anna Eshoo (CA-18), released the following statement in response to a new user fee agreement between medical device manufacturers and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

“We applaud the FDA and device manufacturers for coming together to reach an agreement, and look forward to reviewing the details,” said House Medical Technology Caucus Co-Chairs Erik Paulsen and Anna Eshoo. “Medical technology will continue to play an important role in improving health outcomes and reducing costs, as long as there’s a regulatory environment that is efficient, responsive, and protects patients.”

Congressman Paulsen, a champion of small business and advocate of free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation, serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, the bicameral Joint Economic Committee, and is co-chair of the Congressional Medical Technology Caucus.
