Visit Washington D.C.
The nation's capital is a vibrant and exciting city with many enjoyable attractions for out-of-town visitors. I am pleased to provide constituents with congressional tour reservations for many of the sites in the Washington, D.C. area.
Please note that all reservations are provided to residents of California's Sixth Congressional District on a first-come, first-served basis, and many tours are filled up to six months in advance. Therefore, constituents are encouraged to request reservations as early as possible. Please to fill out the form below with your information and tour requests, and my office will do its best to accomodate you.
I would like to recommend these popular Washington attractions (click on any of the links to view additional information regarding tours of each venue):
- The United States Capitol
- The White House
- The Library of Congress
- The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts
- The Supreme Court
- The Bureau of Engraving and Printing
Please review the above links as many of the venues have their own booking procedures and requirements. Once we have received confirmation from that venue my office will send you a detailed itinerary outlining the information that you have requested. This information will be sent to you (via email) approximately one week before your trip, but is subject to the response time of each individual venue. In order to begin the tour request process, we request that you complete the form linked above with all necessary information.
Venues such as the White House and State Department will require the submission of additional security information. My office will collect that information from you for submission at a later date if it is needed. On August 7, 2010, the White House changed their policy to require that security information be submitted at least 35 days ahead of time. With this in mind, please make sure that you have responded to my office with your security information at least 36 days before your requested White House tour dates.
As of now, the White House is offering tours on an extremely limited basis. We will do our best to facilitate your tour request, however we can make no guarantees. Please try to give us as much notice as possible in order to help with the submission process. You can find additional information here.
Thank you, and I hope you have a wonderful visit to our nation's capital!
