Congressman Tom McClintock

Representing the 4th District of California

Internships

Washington, D.C.

In my Washington, D.C. office internships run during the fall, spring and summer. Although all internships are unpaid, we are happy to work with current students to receive college credit.

Position duties include:  attending Congressional hearings and briefings, leading Capitol tours, answering phones, sorting mail, and assisting legislative staff with research.  As a result, interns gain a first-hand understanding of the legislative process and the many other functions of a Congressional office.

California 4th District

In my Roseville, California office interns may be asked to do a variety of things, including day-to-day office work such as answering phones, writing letters and assisting with media clips. In addition, interns may be assigned to assist in various constituent case work or work on District-based projects of importance.

In preparation to complete this application please make sure you have a cover letter and resume ready (.txt, .doc, .docx, .pdf, .rtf).
