Debt Reduction

America is already over $19 trillion in debt. We must tackle these serious fiscal challenges now by curbing Washington’s spending habits, bringing down the deficit, and building long-term fiscal stability. It’s high time that we stop spending money that we don’t have, and I support measures that fund our nation’s priorities while also cutting our deficit. We urgently need to begin balancing our nation’s checkbook, jump-starting our economy and restoring faith in our political system. I’m going to work tirelessly with Members of my own party and across the aisle to make sure we seize this opportunity.
