Paulsen Remarks on Importance of Innovation and Technology in Health Care

Washington, D.C. – At a House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee hearing, Congressman Erik Paulsen (MN-03) spoke in favor of finding innovative ways to use technology to provide higher quality health care. Congressman Paulsen offered the following statement regarding the subject of this morning’s hearing:
 
“Technological advancements have made our lives so much more efficient and convenient, and we should apply these same principles to our health care system, especially in areas such as chronic care management,” said Congressman Erik Paulsen. “Finding and incorporating these innovative ideas and practices in to our health care will benefit patients and their families, as well as doctors and medical professionals.”
 
Congressman Paulsen, a champion of small business and advocate of free enterprise, entrepreneurship, and innovation, serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, the bicameral Joint Economic Committee, and is co-chair of the Congressional Medical Technology Caucus.
