Paulsen Questions Witness on Burden of the ‘Death Tax' for Small Businesses

Washington, D.C.– At a Ways and Means Select Revenue Measures Subcommittee Hearing on the burden of the estate tax on family businesses and farms, Congressman Paulsen questioned Karen Madonia, Chief Financial Officer at Illco, Inc., on the effect the estate tax has had on their business. Paulsen additionally shared the story of Johnstone Supply, an HVAC company in Minnesota, that has had difficulty growing their business and creating jobs due to the estate tax.
