Paulsen: Millennials Face Challenges and Opportunities in Modern Economy

Washington, D.C.– Congressman Erik Paulsen (MN-03) spoke about the challenges millennials face in the current economy at a Joint Economic Committee hearing Wednesday afternoon entitled,Millennial Voices on Advancing the American Dream.” Testifying at the hearing was Rep. Elise Stefanik (NY-21), the youngest woman ever elected to Congress, who answered Paulsen’s questions about obstacles that millennial women face in the workforce. In addition, Paulsen also asked the panel about what legislative initiatives would help young employees.

Paulsen said about the hearing, “While millions of Americans have felt the effects of a sluggish economic recovery, perhaps no group has faced more challenges than the millennial generation as they’ve attempted to enter the workforce. It was insightful to hear from my colleague and inspiring millennial, Rep. Stefanik, about what we should be doing to help the millennial generation going forward.”
