It was a form letter, but the words hit me in the gut so personally, “We are writing to inform you that we terminated your Aetna Healthy New York plan.” I always paid my premiums on time, but I was unaware that my rate had been increased. So my insurance company just cancelled my policy. I figured I could work it out since it was an honest mistake and I had always paid my premiums. Boy was I wrong. My appeal was denied.
