On May 18 the House of Representatives passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) of 2017.

Delaney Statement on NDAA 2017

“The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 includes a much-needed and well-deserved pay raise for military personnel, improves our military readiness, boosts our cyber-defense and cyber security capabilities, and supports vital partnerships with our allies. Unfortunately, within this legislation, which is over 1000 pages long, there are a number of provisions that I object to, including an extremely misguided measure that would allow federal contractors to discriminate against LGBT employees. I will continue to work with my colleagues to ensure that the final conference version of the NDAA is stripped of these harmful measures.”
