Expanding SHINE into Luzerne County and Hazleton
State Senator John Yudichak (D-14th District), Wilkes University President Patrick Leahy, and I formally opened the SHINE of Luzerne County after-school program in the Hazleton Area School District. Students participating in the program, district officials, and community leaders helped cut the ribbon at Maple Manor Elementary School. I also made a stop in Carbon County, where I visited SHINE’s location at Panther Valley Elementary School in Nesquehoning.
