Another productive week in America’s New Congress. The House passed a number of bills to create jobs, create certainty for small businesses, and grow an Opportunity Economy.

On Tuesday, the House reauthorized funding for NASA, providing Americans with unlimited opportunity and boundless possibility. Here’s Rep. Steven Palazzo (R-MS), the bill’s sponsor:

On Wednesday, the House unanimously passed a measure to award a Congressional Gold Medal to Foot Soldiers who participated in Bloody Sunday, Turnaround Tuesday, or the final Selma to Montgomery Voting Rights March in March of 1965. Here’s Rep. Martha Roby (R-AL), who cosponsored the measure:

Later on Wednesday, the House acted – for the 11th time – to approve construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline. This time, the bill will head to the President’s desk. Here’s House Republican Conference Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) immediately following passage:

On Thursday, the House passed the America Gives More Act. One of the provisions in the bill was sponsored by Rep. Tom Reed (R-NY) to provide incentive for businesses to donate food to charity (Note: 150 BILLION pounds of excess food are thrown away annually). Here’s Mr. Reed:

Finally today, the House passed the America’s Small Business Tax Relief Act of 2015, sponsored by Rep. Pat Tiberi (R-OH). The bill makes permanent several tax relief measures, giving more certainty to American small businesses. A few words from the bill’s sponsor:
