Just after midnight Tuesday morning, President Obama’s executive action on immigration was struck down by a Federal Judge in Texas. Here’s what House Republicans are saying about the court’s decision:
Pres. Obama said at least 22 times he didn’t have the authority to do what he did on #immigration. No surprise at least one court agrees.

A welcome announcement as POTUS himself said he did not have the authority to move forward with his executive orders http://t.co/0W5Ayudfvr — Buddy Carter (@RepBuddyCarter) February 17, 2015
Congrats to @AGTimFox for his steadfast resolve to defend the Constitution. Now is the time for @SenateDems to act on clean #DHS bill #mtpol — Ryan Zinke (@RepRyanZinke) February 17, 2015
A Texas Judge does what Sen. Democrats refused to do. It’s time to stop the filibuster of Homeland Security funding. http://t.co/gGW92vsJn7

I joined MO Reps urging Sen. McCaskill, who says exec. actions on #immigration were wrong, to debate #DHS bill. pic.twitter.com/Gos8vZyShm

A federal judge rightfully halts President Obama’s overreach. This is a win for the rule of law. http://t.co/m4ybEBo3de — RepPeteOlson (@OlsonPressShop) February 17, 2015
If Senate Dems disagree with Obama’s executive actions on #Immigration, they should agree to debate our DHS bill. http://t.co/xuQIG8LqED

The House has advanced a solution that will fully fund the Department of Homeland Security with solutions that will enhance border security, provide stringent oversight, and increase transparency. The President’s executive action does not advance the goal of fixing our broken immigration system, but House-passed H.R. 240 does. We now ask Senate Democrats to stop jeopardizing our national security, work with us and move forward to fix our broken immigration system.
