Tax Reform
The United States tax code has remained relatively unchanged since it was last overhauled in 1986. For over three decades we have used an outdated, complex and broken tax system that has limited economic growth and negatively impacted American businesses.
During my time in Congress I have worked to enact policies that would create a simpler, fairer and more efficient tax system. I will continue to work with my colleagues to pass legislation allowing our economy to thrive through pro-growth tax reform which reduces rates—lessening confusion.
Our current corporate tax rate is one of the highest in the world. The existing system puts American businesses at a competitive disadvantage in the global economy. To help spur job creation we must ensure tax reforms that will make our companies more competitive.
As your Congressman I will continue to advocate for a major overhaul of our tax code that will promote economic prosperity.
