Rep. Maloney Condemns UN Security Council Resolution on Israeli Settlements

Following the UN Security Council’s passage of a resolution condemning Israeli settlements today, Congresswoman Carolyn B. Maloney (NY-12) released the following statement:

"One-sided resolutions like the one just passed at the UN Security Council today do nothing to promote peace. Instead, these resolutions merely continue the, as characterized by outgoing UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, ‘disproportionate volume of resolutions, reports and conferences criticizing Israel’ by the international body. I hope that in the future, the UN will drop these empty gestures and repeated condemnations of Israel, and will instead focus on bringing about a true and lasting peace between Israel and the Palestinians."
