Higher Education

As a former teacher and Head Start program director, I believe there is no better investment than in the education of our children, and I will always make this a top priority. I have focused legislative efforts on ensuring that students and teachers are not overly burdened by the costs of education, so that students can enter the workforce with low interest rates and without burdensome debt hanging over their heads.

8th District Congressman Rick Nolan says more than $1 million will go to colleges within the District. 

Recipients include Lake Superior College, the College of St. Scholastica, Central Lakes College, and Anoka-Ramsey Community College in Cambridge.

Lake Superior College will receive $292,340, and the College of St. Scholastica is getting $284,755.

Central Lakes College will get $235,235, and Anoka-Ramsey Community College in Cambridge is receiving $220,000.
