`We saw in last night’s State of the Union address that the President is incapable of breaking his addiction to Washington spending that has resulted in a massive and unsustainable $16 trillion debt. We cannot continue to tax and spend and send the bill to our children. The American people have paid enough of a price over the last few years for Washington’s recklessness, and passing a Balanced Budget Amendment to the Constitution would put our citizens back at the helm of our ship of state.’
