CONGRESSMAN PITTENGER ON MSNBC: DEMOCRATS WANT SOCIALIZED MEDICINE, AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT CHOICES

WASHINGTON – Congressman Robert Pittenger (NC-09) joined MSNBC anchor Ayman Mohyeldin on Wednesday to discuss House Republican plans to repeal and replace Obamacare.

Moyheldin:  “Are you at all concerned by the Democrats on the other side of the aisle saying that they’re not going to help you come up with another alternative for Obamacare, it’s yours now to own?”

Congressman Pittenger:  “We don’t want their help.  Their help is socialized medicine, where the federal government is dictating it.  The American people want choices.  They want to pick what parts of health care they really want to have.  They don’t want it shoved down their throat as one size fits all.  That’s what they’re given.”

Congressman Pittenger has co-sponsored two bills to repeal and replace Obamacare with truly affordable, patient-centered health care, including legislation written by incoming Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Tom Price.
