Congressman Jeffries is a member of the Judiciary Committee and Education and the Workforce Committee. Within the Judiciary Committee, Congressman Jeffries is a member of two subcommittees: the Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property and the Internet and the Subcommittee on Regulatory Reform, Commercial and Antitrust Law. The Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) has been working hard to draw attention to social and economic issues that impact communities of color. Serving as Co-Chairman of the CBC Taskforce on Immigration Reform, Congressman Jeffries co-anchors weekly “Special Order Hours” on the floor of the House to highlight some of the most significant issues affecting the African American community across the nation, including the need for comprehensive immigration reform, advocacy for Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act and access to a quality education in low-income communities.
The Education and the Workforce Committee has basic jurisdiction is over general education and workforce matters.
The Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) seeks to fight for economic justice and security, protect and preserve civil rights and civil liberties, promote global peace and security, and advance environmental protection and energy independence.

- Congressional Bangladesh Caucus
The Bangladesh Caucus was created to build a foundation for Bangladeshi-Americans living in the U.S., to create a main-stream process for such individuals and for the betterment of the Bangladeshi Communities.
