Washington, D.C. – As we approach the Thanksgiving holiday we must remember the many Americans who live with limited access to affordable and nutritious food. That is why Congressman Marc Veasey introduced H.R. 6343, the Farmers Markets for Food Deserts Act, to ensure that families living in food deserts have reliable access to fresh and nutritious foods year-round.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Marc Veasey, TX-33, is devoted to ensuring that all Americans have the tools they need to lead healthier lives. That is why for the fourth year in a row, Rep. Veasey introduced H. Res 719 designating the month of May as “Health and Fitness Month,” to inspire increased physical fitness in communities nationwide and to help children and families adapt healthy choices into their everyday routines.
