Our economy will be stronger when women get equal pay for equal work. While our country made progress toward equal pay when President Obama signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act seven years ago, there is still a gap between the average earnings of women and men. I support making pay disparities based on gender illegal, like the Paycheck Fairness Act would do. For our economy to succeed, we need to end discrimination in the workplace.
