Agriculture

Agribusiness and family farmers are the lifeblood of our communities, providing food, long-term employment, new energy sources, and research and development opportunities.  Yet, like other businesses, farmers face burdensome federal regulations, an overly complex tax code, export restrictions and even overzealous animal rights activists.  As a Member of Congress, I will always support those who are working to feed our growing population.  I will also work to streamline the tax and regulatory environment lessening the burden of uncertainty placed on our farmers and agribusiness, encourage development of export markets and ensure agriculture has the support it needs to be successful.
