Internships

The Capitol Hill office of Congressman Elijah E. Cummings offers internships during the fall, spring and summer semesters. Although primary responsibilities include fielding phone calls and managing constituent correspondence, interns will also have the opportunity to attend Congressional hearings and briefings, conduct policy research, complete memos for legislative staff, author policy letters and assist Congressman Cummings on occasion.

The Capitol Hill office is open to receive applications from students of all majors and accepted interns have flexibility in determining their schedules. While the internship is unpaid, our interns gain invaluable legislative experience.
