Internships
As a member of Congress, it is an honor to invest in our future leaders by offering internships in Lawton, Ada, Norman and Washington, DC.
What We Look for in an Intern
- Currently attending or recently graduated from a college or university. Preference is given to upperclassmen and those with ties to Oklahoma
- There is no GPA requirement, but a higher GPA increases chance of consideration
- Internships are based on merit. Applicants should have leadership abilities, an interest in civics and politics and upstanding moral character
Oklahoma Internships
District interns are able to observe and assist our staff with constituent services, which primarily includes casework. Tasks and focus of projects varies by office assignment, but all interns typically provide assistance with answering phones, greeting constituents, filing and archiving of office records, helping with mailing projects and researching an issue or agency.

Washington, DC Internships
Interns in Washington, DC are able to watch the legislative process firsthand, assist staff with a variety of projects and attend briefings. All interns typically provide assistance with answering phones, greeting office visitors, leading Capitol tours for constituents, processing flag requests, sorting mail and running errands.
