WASHINGTON, DC– Tomorrow, Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell (D-AL) will be joined by Bessemer, AL native and Tuskegee Airmen honoree Mrs. Beatrice Price to attend President Obama’s State of the Union Address. For four years from 1944 to 1948, Mrs. Price was assigned to the Tuskegee Airmen as a nurse. For her exemplary courage and service to the Tuskegee Airmen unit, Mrs. Price was honored along with the Tuskegee Pilots and received a Congressional Gold Medal in 2007. Congresswoman Sewell presented the medal to Mrs.
