Community Health Fair
Congressmen Gene Green and Al Green will hold a health fair and press conference to discuss the successes of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Medicare, and Medicaid.
This event will highlight the successes of the Affordable Care Act, a law which has helped millions of Americans gain access to health care. The proposed repeal of the ACA and changes to Medicare and Medicaid will fundamentally alter these services and programs, throw our health care system into chaos, and rip health care away from thousands of Houstonians.
Reps. Gene Green and Al Green will be joined by other local elected officials to stand for affordable health care in our country and against attempts to repeal the ACA. A local federally qualified health center and community partners will be on hand to provide information about how to enroll in the ACA, Medicaid, CHIP, and Medicare, screen attendees’ blood glucose, blood pressure, body mass index, and administer flu vaccines.
