Congresswoman Speier to Host Town Hall on Renting in San Mateo County

San Mateo, CA - Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-San Francisco/San Mateo counties) will host a town hall on skyrocketing rents in San Mateo County on Monday, February 22, 2016, 7-8:30 pm at St. Bartholomew Auditorium, 600 Columbia Drive, San Mateo, CA 94402. She will be joined by elected officials from city councils and the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors to hear first-hand from renters who have experienced rent increases.

“I’m hearing heartbreaking stories from my constituents on a weekly basis and this forum is designed to give renters an opportunity to be heard by local elected officials,” Speier said. “We want to have a productive conversation with the various parties involved.”

With 250 renters, landlords and realtors who registered in advance, the town hall is at capacity.
