Federal Spending

We must stand up to bloated federal spending and unbalanced budgets. I support a Balanced Budget Amendment to get federal spending under control. I also have introduced the Sunset Act, which would get rid of unnecessary and wasteful federal agencies and departments. The culture of spending in Washington must be stopped starting with reforms to wasteful federal programs.

One of the first votes the House of Representatives took in 2015 was on my bill to repeal Obamacare in its entirety and instead move forward with patient-centered healthcare reform that isn’t run by the federal government. My bill passed the House by a vote of 296 to 186.
