Thank you to the local veterans who came to my office's resource fair this morning and to all the organizations that participated and shared information about the assistance they provide. I want to offer a special thanks to Marlan Waldrop of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs' Houston Regional Benefit Office and Dr. Julianne Flynn of the South Texas Veterans Health Care System's Audie Murphy Hospital who answered folks' questions.

The day after our tour of the “Hanoi Hilton,” we visited the American Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City. We met with U.S. Ambassador Ted Osius and laid an American flag at the site where the last two Marines to lose their lives in the Vietnam War were killed.
