Shimkus Recognizes Richland County Dodransbicentennial

WASHINGTON – Congressman John Shimkus (R, Illinois-15) entered a statement into the permanent Congressional Record recognizing the 175th Anniversary of Richland County, Illinois.

“Olney, the seat of Richland County, has a marvelously rich history of being a center of transportation, medicine, culture, and agriculture for Southeastern Illinois,” Shimkus said. “I look forward to the continued prosperity of the ‘home of the white squirrels’ for many generations to come.”
