Today, Ranking Member of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure Peter DeFazio (D-OR) announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has awarded nearly $260,000 to the State of Oregon to develop or revise emergency plans and invest in emergency response training to deal with accidents involving the transportation of hazardous materials.
“As we mark one year since the tragic shooting at Umpqua Community College, we stand strong with the community of Roseburg. Our thoughts are with the friends and family who lost loved ones that day, and with a community that continues to work together to recover.
