With the number of cases rising steadily in recent years, Lyme disease is a growing problem in Maine and other states.  I'm working to make sure we're doing everything we can to confront it on the federal level, but we all need to take steps to limit our risk.

The legislation dedicates $1 billion over two years to help states battle opioid addiction and $4.8 billion over 10 years for medical research initiatives. It also streamlines the FDA approval process, makes key mental health reforms, and contains tick-borne disease provisions Pingree advocated for.
