Internships

I invite hard-working, self-motivated college students to apply for unsalaried Congressional internships in my Capitol  and district offices. Interns must have a basic administrative skills and the motivation to work hard in a small business environment.

District interns respond to constituent requests, assist with constituent case management, process mail and incoming telephone calls, and may accompanying staff to events. Capitol office interns focus on the legislative process and work closely with legislative, communications and constituent service staff.

All internships are unpaid and candidates who are chosen for the Washington, DC office are responsible for paying their travel and living expenses. Interns in both offices may arrange academic credit for their work. The internship program is open to all southern California area college students, regardless of major.  Interested candidates should contact the office where they wish to intern for more information:
