Washington, DC -- Rep. Judy Chu, D-El Monte, has not wasted any time getting to work on behalf of her constituents as the newly elected representative for the 32nd Congressional District. Immediately after being sworn in last Thursday, Congresswoman Chu voted on a number of important environmental bills and then proceeded to a marathon hearing that lasted until 6 a.m. The hearing was part of the Congresswoman's new assignment on the Education and Labor Committee

U.S. Representative Judy Chu (D-CA) was sworn in as a Member of the United States House of Representatives. She replaced Hilda Solis as a representative of California's 32nd District.

In addition, the new Congresswoman is the first Chinese American woman elected to the United States Congress.

It is aimed to allow site visitors to access to the latest information from Capitol Hill.

Constituents can make requests such as receiving assistance with Federal Agencies, apply for an appointment to one of the U.S. military academies, or send an email.
