8th Annual Veterans Day BBQ Luncheon

Each year, I host an appreciation luncheon for Memphis veterans because they are among the bravest and hardest working men and women in our nation, and words alone cannot express the gratitude I and our nation owe them for the dedication and sacrifice they've made in service to our country.  My annual luncheon is also a time to thank their families because I know that they too have made many sacrifices. We cannot say “thank you” often enough.

I hope that you will join me for my 8th annual Veterans Day BBQ Luncheon to learn more about my work as your Representative in Washington, DC to help improve the lives of veterans, including my support of programs that assist our veterans who are homeless or who are on the verge of homelessness.  These programs provide transitional housing for homeless veterans, assist very low-income veteran families transition to or stay in their permanent homes, and help homeless veterans access health care and benefits.  It is imperative that Congress fights for permanent housing, health care and benefits for all of our nation’s veterans.
