Foreign Affairs
The United States must continue to take an active role in global affairs to ensure that America remains the most dominant force around the world. With the increasing turmoil in the Middle East, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s aggressiveness in Eastern Europe and China’s continuing rise, foreign affairs continue to play an important role. Through my position on Foreign Affairs and as Vice President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly I am able to ensure that America’s best interests will be pursued internationally.

Washington, D.C. — Last night, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H. Res. 11 objecting to the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334 as an obstacle to Israeli-Palestinian peace.

Washington D.C.—Congressman Tom Marino (PA-10) issued the following statement regarding his opposition to H.R. 2029-Consolidated Appropriations Act or was has been referred to as the “omnibus spending bill”:
“I voted against this bill for many of the same reasons I voted against the budget deal in October. This is a massive spending measure with $50 billion in additional spending. America cannot continue this trend.

Washington D.C.— Congressman Tom Marino (R-PA) and Congresswoman Suzan DelBene (D-WA) issued the following statement after receiving a firm commitment from House Judiciary Chairman, Bob Goodlatte (R-VA), that more hearings will be held on key digital privacy issues, including the Law Enforcement Access to Data Stored Abroad Act, or the LEADS Act:
“We are appreciative of Chairman Goodlatte’s pledge to conduct more hearings at the full committee level which will include the occurrence of warrants served upon U.S. companies for data stored overseas.
Washington, D.C.—Congressman Tom Marino voted in favor of H.R. 4038, the American Security Against Foreign Enemies Act of 2015 (SAFE), which requires the federal government to certify the backgrounds of refugees entering the United States. As indicated by top intelligence and security officials, the U.S. does not currently possess the processes for ensuring every incoming refugee from Syria and/or Iraq is not connected to terrorist organizations.
