Learn about the 12th District
Located along Florida's Gulf Coast in the Tampa Bay metropolitan area, the 12th Congressional District includes all of Pasco and northern parts of Hillsborough and Pinellas counties.
It is comprised of towns and cities, containing many hidden treasures and rich histories. One of America's automobile pioneers, Ranson E. Olds, founded and developed what is today the City of Oldsmar, and America's early film industry has roots in the Gulf Coast City of New Port Richey, which hosted many filmmakers and actors producing some of the nation's first silent films.
It is also rich in culture and tradition. Dade City embodies Florida's rich agricultural heritage with top commodities, including the kumquat, and Tarpon Springs is home to the largest Epiphany Feast celebration in the United States and the historic Sponge Docks, emblematic of its Mediterranean roots.
Finally, the 12th District also makes great contributions to Florida's economy as home to a large manufacturing base, including the Zephyrhills bottling company, sourced by the world famous Crystal Springs and other Florida Springs, and Wesley Chapel, one of the nation's fastest-growing communities.
