WASHINGTON – Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-43), Ranking Member of the Financial Services Committee, submitted an amendment to the House Rules Committee, which would expand the popular TIGER transportation program, and urged the Rules Committee to allow her to offer her amendment on the House floor during consideration of the transportation bill. The Congresswoman’s amendment would provide $7.5 billion for TIGER over 6 years, consistent with the President’s proposal to expand TIGER.  The funding would be exempt from sequestration.

Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-43), Ranking Member of the Financial Services Committee, commended the decision of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to grant her request to extend the public comment period on the FAA’s Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Southern California Metroplex (SoCal Metroplex) project.  The public comment period on the Draft EA has been extended by 60 calendar days to September 8, 2015.
