Our state is home to over 50,000 veterans. They are a testament to the greatest love of country, and are truly the pride of North Dakota. The greatest privilege of my public service is the time I am able to spend with those who have served our country.
While I believe steps must be taken to reduce our national debt, the veterans of our military should not be asked to bear the brunt of these reductions. I will work in Congress to deal with our fiscal problems without invoking cuts to critical services for United States military personnel. I care deeply for our veterans and share your desire to ensure they receive the very best treatment and care from active duty through retired life.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Kevin Cramer issued the following statement on today’s commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor:
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Kevin Cramer co-sponsored two bills passed by the House of Representatives today initiating programs to improve broadband access and healthcare services for veterans.
H.R. 6394, the Improving Broadband Access for Veterans Act of 2016, requires the Federal Communications Commission to submit to Congress a report on promoting broadband internet access service for veterans. It originated in the Energy and Commerce Committee, which Cramer is a member.
Congressman Kevin Cramer reviewed accomplishments by the 114th Congress that affect veterans and the military during a meeting of his Veterans Advisory Board today in Bismarck. The 114th Congress began in January 2015 and concludes at the end of the year.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Kevin Cramer said two Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) bills passed by the House of Representatives this week continue programs that serve veterans well and strengthen the authority of the agency to enact much-needed reforms.
BISMARCK, N.D. – Congressman Kevin Cramer welcomed the Consul General of the Philippines to the U.S. Midwest in his first visit to Bismarck today. Consul General Generoso Calonge led an outreach service team to meet with Filipinos and Filipino-Americans in North Dakota.
More than a hundred people took part in the program that offered information and services including passport applications, visas and dual-citizenship issues. Cramer offered the services of his staff at his offices throughout North Dakota for anyone needing additional help with these and other issues.
