Committees

Congresswoman DelBene serves on the House Agriculture CommitteeHouse Judiciary Committee, and Select Investigative Panel.

In her role on the House Agriculture Committee, DelBene serves as Ranking Member on the Subcommittee on Biotechnology, Horticulture and Research, which has jurisdiction over fruits, vegetables, organic agriculture, research and education. She also serves on the Subcommittee on Conservation and Forestry, which oversees water, resource conservation, energy and bio-based energy production, and the Subcommittee on Nutrition, overseeing nutrition policies including the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program and domestic commodity distribution and consumer initiatives.

In the House Judiciary Committee, DelBene serves on the Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property and the Internet, which handles the administration of the U.S. courts, as well as oversight over information technology and copyright, patent and trademark law. Her second Judiciary assignment is the Subcommittee on Regulatory Reform, Commercial and Antitrust Law, which tackles bankruptcy law, state taxation affecting interstate commerce and antitrust matters.

DelBene is also a member of Republicans’ Select Panel to Attack Women’s Health, which was established to investigate Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers after doctored videos were released from a group of anti-choice extremists – who have since been indicted by a grand jury on felony charges. In her role on the Select Panel, she is fighting to protect women’s access to healthcare and safeguard the privacy and safety of doctors, patients and medical students across the country.

DelBene was appointed to serve on President Obama’s Export Council, the President’s advisory committee on international trade. She also serves as co-chair of the New Democrat Coalition’s 21st Century Job Skills Working Group, and co-chair of the Women's High Tech Caucus, Internet of Things Caucus, Trademark Caucus, and Aluminum Caucus.
