Congressman Evan Jenkins is a proud supporter of the Second Amendment rights for all law-abiding Americans. West Virginia has a proud tradition of using firearms for sport, and the federal government should not infringe on their right to bear arms.
Congressman Jenkins will stand up to the Obama administration’s continued attempts to infringe on American’s fundamental rights. He will protect not only the rights of West Virginians but of all Americans.
Congressman Jenkins has stood with his colleagues in stopping this administration’s overreach, helping to halt the Justice Department’s attempt to ban commonly used ammunition. He is also a proud cosponsor of H.R. 986, the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, which would allow a person with a valid concealed carry permit or license to carry a concealed weapon in any state that does not permit concealed carry.

WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) praised the decision of the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to shelve a proposed ammunition ban.
Rep. Jenkins joined 237 of his colleagues in the U.S. House of Representatives in sending a letter to ATF Director B. Todd Jones expressing concerns with the ATF’s proposal.
