Happy 2017!

Dear Friends,

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. One of the things that makes Wisconsin a great place to work, vacation, and raise a family is our world-renowned agricultural tradition. I will fight to make sure that tradition is even stronger in 2017.

YOU CAN'T MILK AN ALMOND OR A SEED. That's why I signed a bipartisan letter to the Food and Drug Administration asking them to investigate products that claim to be "milk" but aren't from a cow. Of course there is room in the market for these other products, but the use of the term "milk" causes consumer confusion. WISCONSIN CRANBERRIES aren't only delicious, but they are also an important part of our state's economy. That's why I'm honored to receive the 2017 "Service To Industry Award" from the Wisconsin State Cranberry Growers Association. Wisconsin is the number one cranberry producer in the nation, and I will continue to work in a bipartisan fashion to ensure that it stays on top for years to come.
