WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Mooney announced that a total of $4,085,049 from the Economic Development Administration will be awarded to Randolph and Upshur Counties.

Congressman Alex Mooney, representing West Virginia's 2nd district, toured Appalachian Timber Services in Braxton County on Wednesday.
Appalachian Timber Services provides high quality treated and manufactured products for the rail road industry. They produce cross ties and switch ties, bridge ties, and timber crossings.
Mooney said visiting businesses gives him good ideas to take back to Washington D.C.
HARPERS FERRY - Months after an early morning fire left several businesses in Harpers Ferry with extensive damage, Rep. Alex Mooney, R-W.Va., came to the historic town Monday afternoon to talk with the mayor, council members and business owners about the progress of repair.

“This bill is important to economic development in West Virginia. A safe and modern highway system will help facilitate jobs and economic growth. Authorizing the highway program for six years will enable West Virginia to properly plan for needed upgrades to our roads and bridges,” said Rep. Mooney.
