FY 2017 Appropriations Requests

Please find Congresswoman Watson Coleman’s fiscal year 2017 (FY17) Appropriations request below.

Language Requests

A request to include specific bill or report language that does not direct funding to a particular entity but encourages, urges, or directs some type of action by an agency.

Programmatic Requests

A request to fund a specific Federal program at a specified level.

Forms regarding Military Construction/Veteran Affairs and Related Agencies must be submitted by Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 6:00 p.m.

All other forms must be submitted by Tuesday, March 01, 2016 at 6:00 p.m.

If you have multiple requests please include all of the required information on a separate form.

As with previous years, earmarks have been banned, so only programmatic, bill, and report language requests are acceptable.

Here are some preliminary tips:

The House Rules define an earmark as --

a provision or report language included primarily at the request of a Member, Delegate, Resident Commissioner, or Senator providing, authorizing or recommending a specific amount of discretionary budget authority, credit authority, or other spending authority for a contract, loan, loan guarantee, grant, loan authority, or other expenditure with or to an entity, or targeted to a specific State, locality or Congressional district, other than through a statutory or administrative formula-driven or competitive award process.

Earmark requests will not be accepted!

You may use the President's FY17 budget as a reference in preparing your submission(s) when it's released.

It will help you easily find information regarding your federal programs of interest.
