Shimkus Statement on Early Voting

Maryville, Illinois – Congressman John Shimkus (R, Illinois-15) released the following correction to his comments Monday on KMOX:

"I misspoke: Once your vote has been cast – whether during early voting, by mail, or on Election Day – your vote is final and cannot be voided or changed. Any voter who has a question about the election process should contact their county clerk’s office.”
