Washington, DC - (Friday, February 12, 2016) - Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson voted against legislation containing a controversial proposal to privatize our nation’s air traffic control (ATC) system during the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee markup of H.R. 4441, the Aviation Innovation, Reform, and Reauthorization (AIRR) Act. The measure was approved by a vote of 32 to 26, with only Republicans voting in favor of the bill.

DALLAS, TX - (Wednesday, August 19th, 2015) - Today, Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson was presented with the “Lifetime Infrastructure Champion Award” at the Irving Transportation & Water Summit, an event hosted by the City of Irving. The Summit was attended by approximately 300 state officials, infrastructure administrators, business leaders and private citizens from throughout the state of Texas.
DALLAS, TX - (Wednesday, August 5th, 2015) - Today, Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson announced that DFW Airport was awarded $23 million in grant funds by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
The funds granted will be used for necessary taxiway/runway rehabilitation and maintenance efforts during an upcoming phase of structural updates to DFW Airport.
WASHINGTON, DC – (Thursday, July 30th, 2015) – Today, Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson announced that Dallas Executive Airport was awarded $6.57 million in grant funds by the City of Dallas and TxDOT’s Aviation Facilities Grant. The award was approved by the Texas Transportation Commission.
The funds granted will be used for the second phase of runway reconstruction and electrical improvements at the Dallas Executive Airport.
