Washington, DC – (Wednesday, November 23, 2016) – Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson issued the following statement after U.S. District Judge Amos L. Mazzant III of the Eastern District of Texas issued a preliminary injunction against the Department of Labor’s (DOL) Overtime Rule. The Overtime Rule, which was scheduled to take effect on December 1, 2016, seeks to double the maximum salary cap for full-time white-collar professionals who are exempt from overtime pay requirements.
