2017 Presidential Inauguration Information

The Inauguration of the 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017. The ceremony will be held on the West side of the U.S. Capitol Building. I have the privilege of offering a limited number of tickets to the ceremony for constituents of the 3rd District. The deadline to apply for tickets was December 9, 2016. At this time, my office cannot fulfill any more requests for tickets. However, if we are unable to provide you with tickets to the ceremony, the general public can still view the Inauguration from the National Mall. There is also a parade afterward that will proceed down Pennsylvania Ave, ending at the White House.

Other Useful Information:

  • Gate opening times for the ceremony will be announced in January. A musical prelude begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by the beginning of the ceremony at 11:30 a.m.
  • Due to large crowds, attendees are encouraged to use Metro Rail for transportation and allow extra time for travel.
  • Washington, D.C. will be extremely crowded during around the time of the Inauguration. Please arrange accommodations as soon as possible.
  • Weather can be very cold in D.C. during this time of year, be prepared for a lot of time outdoors.
